The Observatory
The Andromeda
Observatory is now situated in the Isle of Man. The site provides excellent
skies whenever the clouds choose to stay away. Prior to 2006, the observatory
was located in South Yorkshire, England, where conditions were not so good.
Nevertheless, it was still possible to carry out astronomy there.
The images shown here include drawings, photographs, webcam and
CCD images.
The observatory itself originally housed an 8.75" Beacon Hills Newtonian
telescope. The current observatory is now home to a 10" Meade LX200
SCT.
Gallery
Some space art using various media and computer generated graphics. The latter
have been rendered using the excellent 3D generating program POV-Ray and use
maps of cylindrical projection.
If you like any of them and would be interested in a higher resolution image
then please contact me.
For some excellent Astro Art take a look at the web site of artist
